Who Should Pause or Consult a Physician
These conditions do not automatically exclude you, but they require a deeper conversation with our team and your healthcare providers. Your safety—and the safety of the cohort—comes first.
- Uncontrolled hypertension or arrhythmias
- Recent heart attack, stroke, or clotting disorders
- Severe anemia or untreated sleep apnea
- Psychotic-spectrum conditions
- Bipolar disorder with recent mania
- Seizure disorders or traumatic brain injury
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Unmanaged endocrine or autoimmune disorders
- Recent major surgery (within 6 months)
Medication Interactions
Some medications may require tapering or medical clearance because of potential serotonin syndrome, blood pressure shifts, or reduced efficacy of the experience. Never change medications without your clinician’s guidance.
- MAOIs
- Lithium
- Tramadol
- SSRIs / SNRIs
- Antipsychotics
- Beta blockers & blood pressure medication
- Benzodiazepines (may dull effect)
- Hormonal therapies
- Sleep medications
We coordinate directly with your prescribing doctor when adjustments are recommended. Some medications may simply mean this cohort isn’t the right timing—our team will help you plan for a future window.
Preparation Timeline
Meet with our screening team. Confirm medication plan with your clinician. Begin reducing alcohol, heavy foods, and overstimulation.
Shift to a clean, nourishing diet. Increase hydration and sleep. Start your reflection prompts and body-based practices.
Pause all non-essential commitments. No alcohol, cannabis, or sexual activity. Keep meals light—think soups, steamed vegetables, herbal teas.
Check-in window, consent review, facilitator introductions, and container agreements. Vital signs taken by our medical team.
During the Weekend

- Guardian facilitators at a 1:2–1:3 ratio for entheogenic sessions.

Informed Consent
Every participant completes an informed consent sequence covering program structure, risks, alternatives, and confidentiality. Legal alignment with EntheoWork’s charter ensures the experience operates within jurisdictions where sacramental use is permitted.
